I want to talk to you all about what no one else is talking about, and that is online dog training.

I’m sure some of you out there have had this question. I did at the beginning, which is weird because now I own an online dog training company.

There’s this idea that online dog training feels a bit wrong, doesn’t it? It feels like this is not going to work.

Let’s just do things how we’ve always done them.

This is not how I’ve been told to train my dog by my parents, by my friends, by my co-workers and other people that I know… This is not how anybody I know has ever trained their dog… This seems crazy…

Before I started this company, I wondered if it was going to work. Now I can tell you…

100% online dog training works!

I actually think that in a lot of ways, it is better than in-person dog training.

Here are all of the benefits that I’ve realized as I go through this process with my clients…

  • You don’t have to leave your house.

This is so important, especially with coronavirus. You don’t need to venture out into public, and you don’t need to have anyone in your home. Online dog training is very safe!

  • It’s convenient.

You show up for your class, you take your class, you turn off your computer and you go on with your life. There’s no commute. There’s no loading your dog or your puppy in the car.

  • It’s very easy to get information.

Since I’m already right by my computer, and you’re by yours, I can easily send you links for any articles or videos if you’ve questions about anything.

  • It’s more organized.

There are structures and systems in place, it’s a process. There are checklists you can go through and you can know that you are doing the program correctly.

In person training is often much less organized because it doesn’t have to be!

I know so many dog trainers who are genuine experts but they don’t really do any prep work for the session.

They just show up at your house, you give them the problem, and then they’re flying by the seat of their pants to come up with a solution. Online dog training is different.

I have the experience. I have the expertise. Now I also have it laid out in a way that’s organized and easy to follow.

I will admit…

Online dog training is different than traditional dog training.

I cannot take your dog from you and fix it.

Here’s the thing though…

I know how to train dogs. I know how to take your dog and fix it. But is that really the issue? It doesn’t really matter if a dog trainer can train your dog.

The dog trainer is going to leave your house. If it’s a private session, the dog trainer is going to be there for an hour. That’s it.

If it’s a group class, that’s forty-five minutes to an hour, once a week, and then the trainer’s out of there.

You still live with your dog the other 167 hours per week… by yourself.

How many of you know somebody or you’ve been to a class with your previous dog, or maybe you did training prior to this…

You take your dog trainer, the trainer takes the leash and all of a sudden you have a different dog. Well, that’s great, but it doesn’t really help you when the trainer is gone.

This is the difference. You don’t have somebody who can just take the leash and fix it. But to me, that doesn’t really matter, because it’s not really fixed anyway.

The dog trainer can show you what it looks like, but it doesn’t actually help you if you can’t do it yourself. The most important thing is that your dog learns how to respond to you, not the dog trainer.

The thing is, dog training is not rocket science…

People have been training dogs for hundreds of years. You can train your own dog. You don’t need somebody to come and train your dog. You are perfectly capable of training your own dog. And I’m going to tell you this. Your bond is going to be better for it.

If you need help, I will show you exactly how to do it, and I will be in your corner, supporting you every step of the way!

I just want to share with you a little bit about what the experience of online training is like because I know it’s so new and so different…

When I got my first dog, I went out and I bought a few dog training books, and that’s how I started training my dog.

I read them and I started applying some of the stuff I was reading and it was trial and error. That’s how we got started. It was great. At least it worked…

This is a million times better than that.

It’s like a book you get, but it also has video demonstrations and images to show you exactly what I’m talking about. It has live classes and a community where you can get answers to any of your questions within 24 hours.

Another issue with traditional, in-person training…

Back then if you were going to a group class maybe every Saturday at 10 a.m., that was your only opportunity to get any of your issues addressed.

Your trainer in that situation is working with six, seven, eight or maybe more dogs. If they’re working with so many dogs, they don’t really have the time to take with you to address your specific issues.

They might do it a little bit before class, but that’s still only once a week. The biggest difference for me that I really love is now with the online training format, is I’m able to communicate with my clients on a daily basis if needed.

If they need help daily, I’m there. If they need help weekly, I’m there. If they need help monthly, I’m there. If they need to take a little time off and then come back, I’m there.

That’s really the biggest difference with all my dog training, which is what makes it great for so many people.

If you have a little puppy and it is tearing through your house at 8 pm tonight,

  • She starts jumping up.
  • She’s biting your legs.
  • She’s biting your hands.
  • She’s biting your arms.
  • She’s jumping up on the coffee table.
  • She’s stealing things.
  • She’s zooming around your house.
  • Your kids are scared of her.

Nobody really wants to interact with her because those little needle teeth are drawing blood every time somebody tries to get close to her. Do you really want to wait until Saturday or Sunday to talk to your trainer?

No.

You want somebody to help you right now, and that’s what online training gives you.

The way our program works is on demand, you can get the videos, information and the training plan.

You can also send me a video or a message, and I’m going to get back to you within twenty-four hours Monday through Friday. You are going to have a custom solution almost right away.

If you want to talk in person, we can do that via a live class or during office hours.

I think that level of support is really different from traditional training.

Our clients make real and fast progress. They have organized training lessons to go off of, live classes to practice, and our community for 24-hour support.

The best part is, they make this progress themselves. I never take their dogs from them and just do it. Our clients learn to train their own dogs and their dogs learn to respond to them, not just the dog trainer!

I hope this answers some of your questions, let me know in the comments if you have any further questions. I’d love to connect with you.
